Computer Technology Industry Association (CompTIA)

With over 20,000 members in 102 countries the Computer Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) represents the international technology community as a standards-setting organization. It supports the IT industry through standards, professional competence, education, and business solutions. Impact is the exclusive provider of training for CompTIA’s Customer Service Excellence program.

Individual Accreditation
To receive individual accreditation, participants need to complete the Field Service, Diagnostic Troubleshooting, Customer Service, or Help Desk customer service training programs. Student results are attached to their CompTIA Career ID number and technical certification record. This allows member companies to validate accreditation prior to employment.

ASC Gold
The CompTIA ASC Gold designation showcases service centers that offer higher levels of repair and customer service capabilities. CompTIA ASC Gold service organizations are staffed with a higher level of skill and experience to deal with more complex issues. To qualify as a CompTIA ASC Gold participant, service centers must meet the following requirements:

  1. Demonstrate a minimum of 75 percent of the technical staff are CompTIA A+® certified.
  2. Demonstrate at least 50 percent of the technical staff possess a CompTIA’s technical certifications.
  3. Have 75 percent of technicians enroll in, and pass, the CompTIA Customer Service Excellence accreditation.
